1. Strip and Quote Fee
• A strip and quote fee of R200 is payable on all jobs not repaired. This fee covers the initial assessment and labour involved in determining the repairs needed. If the customer decides not to proceed with the recommended repairs, this fee is non-refundable.
2. Payment Terms for Repairs
• All repairs must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the repair work. This policy ensures that we can allocate the necessary resources and parts to complete the repair without delay.
3. Collection of Goods
• Customers are expected to collect their goods within 3 months from the notification date of repair completion. Goods not collected within this time frame will be sold to cover the costs of storage and the repair service. It is essential for customers to adhere to this timeline to avoid losing their property.
4. Storage of Goods
• Goods left at GKS Lawnmower and Chainsaw Service Centre are stored at the owner’s risk. While we take reasonable measures to secure and care for stored items, GKS is not liable for loss or damage that may occur during storage.
5. Liability for Repairs
• GKS Lawnmower and Chainsaw Service Centre guarantees the quality of our repairs and will rectify any issues resulting directly from our service within a specified warranty period. However, this warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, or subsequent damage that occurs after the customer has taken delivery of the repaired item.
6. Ownership of Replaced Parts
• All replaced parts become the property of GKS Lawnmower and Chainsaw Service Centre, unless the customer specifically requests their return at the time of repair approval. Please note that requesting returned parts may incur additional fees.
7. Authorisation of Additional Repairs
• If, during the repair process, additional problems are identified that require immediate attention, GKS will contact the customer to obtain approval for additional work. Repairs will only proceed after customer approval is obtained for the extra costs involved.
8. Return and Refund Policy
• Due to the nature of our services, all repair services are final. Returns or refunds on completed repairs are not typically accepted unless stipulated by applicable warranty conditions or consumer protection laws.
9. Modifications to Terms and Conditions
• GKS Lawnmower and Chainsaw Service Centre reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the customer to review these terms periodically for any changes.
